As in the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears…she was determined to find rest. The first to beds were not right until finding the third bed "Just Right". This is what I experienced over a long period of searching for the right bed for me. 20-25 years of researching and trial that led me to my final decision to purchase a Stearns and Foster Reserve Pillow Top Firm Mattress. A wise decision that I've enjoyed since the first night !

For years I've always wanted a Stearns & Foster mattress and this was my first experience purchasing one. I called directly and spoke with an agent and inquired about comfort levels and asked for advice on which would be the best for me. I told the agent that I wanted firm and supportive yet comfortable and I didn't want to sink into the bed or for it to be hard for me to get in and out of the bed. Unfortunately, this specific one was exactly what I didn't need. I tried to give it a little time, but as time has progressed the mattress has begun to sink in further and I can feel the springs in the mattress poking me and I feel lower back pain sleeping in it. This is not the quality that I expect, especially at this price point. Feeling as though I do not have much of a choice right now, I'm going to try a firmer mattress in the tight top in hopes that it will be better.

This mattress has given me a whole new sleep experience. I chose the medium pillow top and it is perfect for me (prefers a firmer mattress) and my husband (prefers a soft, sink into it, mattress). We're both happy and sleeping like little angels.

We purchased this mattress 2 years ago and at first it was great. After 2 yrs of sleeping on it even rotating it is sagging really bad. We tried to use the warranty and because the tag was off the mattress (not sure who removed it) they denied the claim and we are stuck with a 2 year old luxury mattress that sags really bad. Wouldn't buy this product again!!!!

This is the second Stearns and Foster mattress we have purchased. The first was a delight to sleep on and our new one is also excellent. Great support and comfort. We couldn't be happier with our purchase. It's nice to know the quality has not diminished over time. A very satisfied customer.

So far so good! I'm 6', 210 lbs and I needed to replace my previous mattress that had developed sagging "hammock spots" that exacerbated previous back injuries. However, these spots developed over a 15 year period (mattress had a 10-year warranty!)
I'm hopeful that this mattress will last as long? It came with a 90-day return policy but I'm confident that no problems will appear before 90 days. I did not receive any sales invoice, or paperwork listing any warranty applicable to this mattress which leaves me uneasy about this purchase. As I said, so far, so good, but I hardly think I've had an adequate amount of time to come up with a valid and reliable judgement! I'd appreciate some documentation regarding a warranty and think a follow-up in 5 years would be more appropriate!

We were very happy with this mattress for the 1st year or so. Then deep impressions developed even with rotating the mattress. This mattress, after 3 years, is so uncomfortable that both me and my husband wake up with backaches every morning. We contacted the company and were told to take picture after picture of the mattress in various ways. Every time they wanted another picture showing the impressions. The pictures clearly showed the deep depressions. After months of this, they told us we had no warranty claim and to get lost. I would never, ever recommend buying a Stearns and Foster mattress unless you like throwing away this kind of money on garbage that the company won't stand behind.

About 1 year in the mattress started becoming uncomfortable. The mattress has dips/indents on both sides where we sleep, and a hump in the middle. We rotate the bed 4 times a year. Both my partner and I started having a tough time sleeping through the night-- waking up with pins and needles / different parts of our body falling asleep-- shoulders, arms, legs. We started waking up with aches and pains in our shoulders or hips or ribs or back. The mattress started out amazing. Now the couch is more comfortable than this mattress. For almost $4thousand dollars not including the special base and frame it requires, this mattress was a huge disappointment. Now looking to replace it and feeling foolish for wasting so much money on a "luxury mattress" that we were hoping would have been comfortable for at least the 10 year warranty minimum. Highly recommend a different mattress-- not this one.

I'll be honest, it took me a couple of nights to make the adjustment from a worn-out 13-year-old plush foam mattress to the Lux Estate Elite Pillow Top Medium, but I think that's normal. My body wasn't accustomed to sleeping on such a high quality, well-built mattress. Now that it is, the improvement to my quality of sleep has me wishing I had upgraded a few years ago.

I spent so much money on this mattress and after maybe 2 months it already started to sag SO BAD. It hurts my back and neck so bad and I cannot afford a new mattress and I passed the trial window. I slept better 9 months pregnant in a hospital bed. I have rotated it several times and I try and sleep in the middle and both sides every couple of days to even the wear. I also am only 115 lbs

Coming from an old memory foam mattress, I was having trouble sleeping for far too long. I opted for the Lux estate in medium and it's the best of comfort and support all packed into one. I track my sleep on my watch and the quantity and quality of my sleep immediately improved. Needless to say I've got my life back because of this mattress, waking up refreshed on a regular basis again!

My husband and I were desperate for a good night's sleep and as soon as we set up our bed for the first night, our dreams came true. Since we have had our pillow top firm for one week, our sleep has never been so good. Our mattress is firm and cozy and our sleep is 100% improved - no more getting up in the middle of the night trying to get comfortable. I would recommend a Sterns and Foster mattress.

Got the Lux Estate Pillow Top Firm mattress. I am sorry this mattress is awful. Tried it in the store it was different. Now I wake to a sore hip most mornings. Purchased from the Mattress Firm and had it delivered. Slept on it for few weeks. Contacted Mattress firm and said this seems too hard or there is something wrong with it. They told me it takes a few weeks to break in. I said OK, before I knew it I let the return date slip. It was not the most important thing on my mind since my wife had knee surgery. So now I am stuck. The pillow top smushes down and you hit the springs which have ZERO give. Me and the wife toss and turn and look for a comfortable spot. I have yet to feel the independent coils. I am a side sleeper and a bit heavy and weigh about 240lbs. They recommended a firm vs medium bed. In the store it felt OK. Now after months I hoped the independent coils would wear in but its still like sleeping on a 3 inch foam mattress with a board underneath. How this product has changed your life, its made is miserable. Wish I would have never purchased this highly recommended mattress. Its expensive and nothing I would recommend.

I love my new Stearns and Foster mattress! I replaced a 15 year old mattress and couldn't be happier! I decided to buy a Stearns and Foster as the last time i was in Las Vegas and slept in the most comfortable bed. I looked at what mattress they were using and saw it was a Stearns and Foster. I have had the mattress about a month now and couldn't be happier ! I feel well rested and don't have any shoulder pain as i did have before as im a side sleeper. I would recommend Stearns and Foster to anyone looking for a quality mattress and a great nights sleep!

Just the right firmness for great support. Now it's very easy to fall asleep and wake in the same position- it's that comfortable! I haed a Sterns & Foster many years ago, and I never forgot the comfort. I'm glad I've returned to this mattress.

So far after about one week the mattress to me is very firm and I am hoping to get use to it. My husband prefers a more firm mattress than I do so he is very much enjoying his rest. I may have to get a topper for it if I still continue to find too firm.

The pillow top on this mattress conforms to every part of your body. As a result, it has really helped with my lumbar stenosis.
We've had it less than a month so we'll see how it goes. So far it's the most comfortable bed we've ever had.
Because it conforms so well to the body it does seem a little warmer than what we have had. I'm getting used to it though and it's a very small problem compared to the better back support we're getting.

Initially I was very happy with my new mattress, however I noticed it does sink in if you sleep alone always on the same side, for reference I am not overweight, that wouldn't be a major concern but the buttons, tufts or rosettes on this mattress, omg, what a major flaw, and sadly so, for such an expensive mattress. They are in the shape of a flower or rosette but now well done, first the threads will start to get loose and/or will pinch your skin, they have a plastic or metal underneath that is extremely uncomfortable. I don't understand why make them so prominent that you can feel them bothering you, especially for such a luxurious and expensive line those tufts should be flawless, barely noticeable. Sadly I had to return my mattress.

I was looking for a firm mattress that will provide enough support. My previous mattress was also a firm mattress but it started to sag and create deep indentations. It is important for me to have this support so that my back stays in proper alignment (particularly after back surgery). I have had this mattress for about a month now and the support for my back has been amazing.
