I have been a longtime fan of Stearns & Foster and purchased the Estate Soft Pillowtop Mattress in September. Unfortunately, it has been the most disappointing mattress I've ever owned. The description claims that upgrading provides "enhanced pressure relief," but my experience has been the exact opposite.
While the center of the mattress offers comfortable support, the sides sag into a firm dip, creating added pressure on the very areas that need relief. This is especially problematic for someone like me, who has rheumatoid arthritis and requires consistent, well-balanced support. Instead of relieving pressure, this mattress exacerbates discomfort.
I had high expectations based on my loyalty to the brand, but this experience has been extremely disappointing. Regrettably, this will be my last Stearns & Foster purchase.

We recently inherited a previous bed that was a stearns and foster mattress and it was finally time to get a new one, leading us to buy the brand ourselves! Just firm enough to support your body but just soft enough to let you sink in and feel comforted. Perfect for peak firmness in the beginning to perfect softness once fully broken in years down the road. The last mattress lasted 15 years and still had some life left in it if we wanted it to! Definitely a life long buyer!

For years I have heard that Stearns & Foster beds were top of the line in younger years we always felt we are good, we don't need that at our age! Well, our miscalculation, beds without the proper support, # of springs, quality material makes the difference. At 70 & 67 yrs of age and active seniors, getting up in the morning started with an aching back, hips and a lot of stretching all day long. After one month with our new mattress we continue to feel improvement daily. We are very grateful to feel this improvement in our body and only wish we had been smarter sooner.

Have tried multiple mattresses over the years, slowly going between different types and more expense to get the perfect night sleep. I finally invested into myself with this one. Wonderful results each night, and as a side sleeper with bad shoulders since leaving active duty military over a decade ago I'm shocked to say I can comfortably sleep on my back due to comfort level this provides!

I just moved into a Sterns and Foster pillow top firm and at first it was just a little stiff, but I got used to it within three nights and I'll never go back to a medium. My experience with the mediums were they were soft and comfy, but after about a year, the center would get dished out and they were not very comfortable on my lower back. My grandfather always told me to get a firm because it's way better for your back and I have to agree. The firm is the way to go. It does soften up after you laid on it. The memory foam pillow top helps But the Sterns and Foster reserve pillow top for is by far best mattresses I've ever owned and the only one I'm going to own thank you guys.

Everything about getting this mattress was easy. Delivery was delayed by a storm but they communicated the new date a few days before so were obviously planning well. The delivery people persevered getting it round a tight corner and took all the packaging and the old mattress away. The mattress itself is SO comfortable and I barely feel my husband get up in the morning now. It feels very well made. I'd definitely buy it again.

I cannot say enough about our new Stearns & Foster Reserve with firm pillow top. My husband and I are both sleeping through the night and in the mornings we are not achy and tired. We decided to also order the adjustable base and being able to raise the head of the bed up has helped a lot with acid reflux. Definitely give this bed a try, you won't be disappointed.

I have had the mattress for about 3 weeks now and every morning I wake up refreshed and ready to start the day. With my previous mattress, I woke up with a stiff back and it took me a while to "wake up". Not with this mattress. We looked at several types of mattresses in the showroom-laid on all of them and this was the most comfortable one. It has just the right amount of firmness yet is still comfortable.

This is the most uncomfortable mattress I've ever owned. I was told it takes time to "break it in," well, its been 1 year I wake up with all kinds aches and pain. I would like recommend this to anyone! The cost of this mattress, it should feel like sleeping on a cloud! I will not buy this brand again.

Given the price and the reputation of Stearns and Foster, I am disappointed. Within a few months there was noticeable sagging in areas where we sleep. In stead of support, we feel like we are sleeping in a ditch. For a premium brand, we expected quality and durability. The warranty process is a hassle and to find out this isn't covered under warranty. This is not a quality product. I don't mind paying for quality since I planned on keeping it at least 10 years. Don't waste your money on this brand. It was expensive and I will have to replace this soon.

This thing is so nice! It's like sleeping on a cloud that just envelopes you in a world of comfort! We tried a S&F estate tight top prior to this model and returned it and after receiving reserve tight top firm we are 100% satisfied! It's like it starts as a soft top but there's a layer of firm gel underneath that just feels perfect. We're stearns and foster fans and will continue to be!

I recently replaced my plush estate pillow top with a medium lux estate pillow top. I had the plush mattress for 12 years. Great mattress. The medium lux estate is firmer so has taken a bit to get used to since other mattress was a plush. I think the lux estate medium is a great for side sleeper

I LOVE this bed. I can hardly feel when my partner moves, and he isn't waking up anymore when I come to bed after him. I have ample room to sleep in any position I wish! This bed is, by far, the nicest bed I have ever owned. I have to admit, I almost fell asleep in the showroom I found it in. We have purchased 2 new mattresses in the past few years, both of which sagged within a short time. So much for being able to even get a replacement with a guarantee. So disappointed in other companies and out a LOT of money. I decided to order a new PT Lux Estate King mattress for our master bedroom since I loved a Queen Stearns and Foster I had ordered for my old master several years ago. It is still a wonderful mattress so I decided to go with another S&F with fingers crossed. I have a bad back and have had issues with sleeping on our previous mattresses. Not so with this one soft top but firm mattress - my back is happy again!

The "White Glove" delivery and set up was very professional. The old mattress was hauled away and the area was left clean. The quality of the construction was noticed during set up and we love the attractive blue color and design! 5 star for comfort on our first nights sleep! No more joint pain and far less back pain since sleeping on the Lux Estate mattress! We would definitely suggest the additional option of a pillow top, It is a "must have" and super comfortable! It's nice to finally find a quality mattress and to be able to get better sleep consistently!

My husband and I were excited to get this mattress however after sleeping on it for just 30 days, we noticed that the mattress had indents where we sleep. I didn't even notice the indents until after I noticed my back was hurting in the morning. We will be returning.

I was a terrible sleeper(trouble falling and staying asleep tossing and turning) and additionally have a slightly bad back. From the moment we received the bed and laid down we knew it was the right choice. It is so comfortable that both my wife and myself have said to each other that we wished we had bought it much sooner. We have been getting the best nights sleep and waking up completely ache-free. We were slightly nervous getting a firm bed and it being too firm, but we noticed it was lower on the firmness scale and closer to a medium. It does feel like it is somewhere perfectly between the firm and medium. It's a little bit softer on the top with the pillow top and perfect firmness is just below it. I cannot state enough just how much we love this bed and how comfortable it is. I know I mentioned it before, but we absolutely love our decision to get this bed.
